Usually, if your fantasy star has struggled in the first two weeks, he’s a solid pick to break out in Week 3. That’s not necessarily the case this season. Several factors such as injuries and bad matchups may keep your players in the doghouse for one more week. For once, let’s take a look at the players you should bench first then look at few who should start:
BENCH
Larry Johnson, RB, Chiefs at Falcons
Already complaining about touches and they’re starting Tyler Thigpen at QB.
Santonio Holmes, WR, Steelers at Eagles
Philly’s D better than it looked and Big Ben’s shoulder’s hurting.
Braylon Edwards, WR, Browns at Ravens
Stop the drops first, then we’ll see; Ravens have top pass D.
Carson Palmer, QB, Bengals at Giants
Why are you considering this?
START
Matt Hasselbeck, QB, Seahawks vs. Rams
Reinforcements have arrived, plus the Rams are reeling.
Matt Cassel, QB, Patriots vs. Dolphins
Let’s expand the playbook a little against the Fins, OK, Bill?
Chargers D, vs. Jets
Bolts still steaming after blown call; Brett Favre’s all or nothing in big games.
Chris Johnson, RB, Titans vs. Texans
Houston’s in bottom 4 of run defense.
