Best friends forever
Oprah Winfrey granted Tina Fey her wish.
The talk-show queen guest stars on an episode of Fey’s NBC sitcom “30 Rock” scheduled to air at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 6, NBC announced Thursday.
“Oprah is very funny in the episode, and we are beyond grateful to have her,” Fey said in an NBC release. “Also, I would like to announce that we are officially best friends.”
In March, Fey told journalists she wanted Winfrey to appear on her show, but she didn’t know how to make that happen.
“I want Oprah to play my best friend,” she said during a conference call. “I want to spend time with Oprah.”
Friendly competition?
When Joe Faris was getting critiqued for his business suit with a pocket square in the latest challenge on “Project Runway,” his competitor Kenley Collins laughed out loud on the runway.
“She, to me, was like nails on a chalkboard,” Faris told Entertainment Weekly. “She just had no respect for anybody, no regard for anybody — the judges, Tim [Gunn], anybody else competing. … Whatever. I completely disregarded her.”
That outfit ended up sending Faris home.
Faris’ pick to win: Korto Momolu.

Swank OK after surgery
Two-time Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank is recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a small, benign growth that had been causing her discomfort, her manager said Thursday.
Jason Weinberg said in a statement Swank started “experiencing some discomfort and went to see her doctor, who prescribed an immediate course of action.”
“Her condition has been resolved, and there are no continuing health issues with the exception of some short-term rest and recuperation,” he said.
Swank, 34, won Oscars for her roles in “Boys Don’t Cry” and “Million Dollar Baby
No to ‘90210’
Dylan McKay may be coming back to “90210,” but Luke Perry isn’t.
No. Not. Never.
“They own the name and the likeness,” Perry said of the Dylan character during a conference call Thursday. Perry, calling from a movie set in Sweden, was promoting his guest-starring role on the Sept. 23 season premiere of “Law & Order: SVU.”
When pressed about his answer and if it meant he would not appear as the character that made him famous on the original “Beverly Hills 90210,” Perry said firmly: “That would be a ‘no.'”
Don’t call it a comeback
Shady’s back, back again?
Eminem hinted recently on his Sirius Satellite Radio station, Shade 45, that he’s working on a new CD.
“I’m concentrating on my own stuff right now — just banging out tracks,” he said, Billboard reports.
While Eminem is keeping his lips sealed about the long-awaited album, 50 Cent told BBC’s Radio 1 he recently recorded with Em, according to Billboard.
“His project is coming together. [Fans are] not gonna be excited till they hear the first single, then they’re just gonna go right back to loving him all over again,” Fif said.
