Officials said a Chicago man died after he fell through a hole in a roof while working in Des Plaines.
Manuel Villagomez, 47, of the 5400 block of South Christiana Avenue was working with some other men Friday on the roof of the single-story business building in the 100 block of East Oakton Street when he fell head first through a hole, Cmdr. Dan Niemann said.
He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he died, Niemann said.
