Actresses attending Sunday’s Emmy awards wore just about every color under the rainbow, from fuschia to canary yellow to black-and-white printed gowns. But not everyone wore the colors well. RedEye picks what was hot and what was a hot mess.
Black
Catherine Keener stood out with her sleek and sexy two-piece suit. “Designer” Lauren Conrad’s uninspiring column of a dress will fail to gain her ANY new clients.
Green
Christina Hendricks, from “Mad Men,” showed all the right curves with her form-fitting gown. Jenna Fischer’s dress, on the other hand, looked like someone threw up a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake all over her.
Yellow
Mariska Hargitay was a radiant goddess in her canary yellow gown. Teri Hatcher’s ill-placed ruffles gave her a Big Bird look.
WHITE
A study in opposites: Olivia Wilde of “House” looked angelic in her gown. Jennifer Love-Hewitt’s dress looked like it was invaded by demonic snakes that made a nest in her hair.
BLUE
Mary-Louise Parker’s gown melted onto her body perfectly. For Emilie de Ravin of “Lost,” shrinky-dinks were the “it” accessory.
