Amanda Tapping stars as Helen Magnus, an extremely well-preserved 150-year-old doctor who monitors the supernatural creatures that walk the Earth. Some have to be confined to protect the public; others need to be protected from the public. Robin Dunne plays her newest protege, a psychiatrist who never expected a gig like this in medical school.
