St. Xavier University has awarded a posthumous graduate certificate to Officer Nathaniel Taylor Jr., who was fatally shot last week while trying to serve a warrant on the South Side.
Taylor was enrolled in the university’s fraud examination and management MBA program, the university said. He completed an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in January, said a university spokesman, who did not know what field the degree was in.
