City shutters Harold’s spot
City inspectors shut down a Harold’s Chicken Shack on the South Side on Thursday because the restaurant didn’t have any hot water, the Department of Streets and Sanitation said in a press release.
The Chicken Shack, at 6843 S. Ashland Ave., also was cited for failing to have a certified food manager on premises and inadequate pest control after inspectors noted roach activity.
Workers were installing a water heater in the shop Thursday night, a Harold’s employee said, but he didn’t know when the shop would reopen.
