Northwestern didn’t let last week’s loss to Michigan State linger for long. The Wildcats responded Saturday with an inspired 48-26 homecoming blowout of Purdue at Ryan Field. C.J. Bacher threw three touchdown passes and Northwestern forced five fumbles.
Elsewhere, Juice Williams threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score and Jason Ford rushed for 172 yards and three TDs to lead Illinois to a 55-13 demolition of Indiana in Champaign.
