A construction worker was injured Thursday when he was hit by a passing vehicle on Shermer Avenue in Northbrook, authorities said.
The 31-year-old construction worker was near Willow Road about 10 a.m. when he was hit by a motorist on Shermer, police said. He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, police said.
The motorist was ticketed for failure to exercise caution, authorities said.
