Bears fans, you know the story I’m about to tell. I’m not sure if it was when Rex Grossman overthrew a wide-open Devin Hester or threw to a wide-open Chris Hope — of the Titans.
I reached for my trusty brick and chucked it at my TV but — whether it was a subconscious way to support Grossman or just a bad throw — it sailed high and put a hole right through my living room wall.
My TV — perhaps the ninth or 10th I’ve owned in the Grossman years — remains intact. Just like the Titans’ undefeated season.
Guess I’ll be able to watch a real Bear, Mike Singletary, coach the 49ers Monday on “Monday Night Football” after all. San Fran vs. Arizona. Battle royale. It just might put me to sleep. Like the Bears offense.
Kyle Orton, I hope you’re back next week. I’m running out of bricks.
