‘Quantum’ leap
* The title “Quantum of Solace” comes from a short story in the Ian Fleming collection “For Your Eyes Only,” though the movie has an unrelated plot.
* At 106 minutes, “Quantum of Solace” is easily the shortest Bond movie, though Daniel Craig shouldn’t feel dissed — his first as 007, “Casino Royale,” was the longest (144 minutes) in the nearly five-decade-long Bond series.
* Craig’s second tour of James Bond duty debuted in three European markets the weekend ending Nov. 3, shattering records by making an estimated $38.6 million.
