Bert Gillenberg, of Lake Forest, IL, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 at the Westmoreland Nursing Center in Lake Forest.
He was born on May 26, 1922 in Lake Forest.
A lifelong resident of Lake Bluff/Lake Forest, he was active in many civic activities.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Agnes; a daughter, Maralee (Rick) Murphy of Estero, FL; a son, Jim (Sherry) Gillen of Lake Bluff; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at theWenban Funeral Home in Lake Forest 847-234-0022 from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Libertyville Covenant Church, 250 S. Saint Mary’s Road, Libertyville, IL 60048, 847-362-3308.
Burial will be private.
