What do Kim Kardashian, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and Kendra Wilkinson have in common?
They’re all going to be guests on an upcoming episode of “How I Met Your Mother” — as if you haven’t already heard!
The reality stars are slated to play … themselves in an episode to air in January, according to reports.
Co-creator and executive producer Craig Thomas was mum on the details of what the crew would actually be doing in their appearance when CBS announced the Speidi cameo last week.
“We can confirm that Heidi and Spencer will appear on the show,” Thomas told people.com, “but we can’t give away anything specific about the episode. All we can say is that they play themselves, and one of them is The Mother.”
Of course, “HIMYM” isn’t the only show to recruit big names to try to boost its ratings. Here’s a look at a few other recent celeb cameos in TV land.
1. CSI: NY
The crime drama celebrates its 100th episode Wednesday with slew of guest stars. On deck are Nelly, Chris Daughtry, Scott Wolf, Rumer Willis and Julia Ormond. Not bad for a show about blood and guts!
2. ELI STONE
Katie Holmes guest starred last month on the legal drama as a clumsy lawyer named Grace. She also got a dance number out of the deal.
3. 30 ROCK
The brain-child of Tina Fey has had its fair share of big-name celeb guests. So far this season, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Aniston have dropped in on the cast. Steve Martin is slated to make an appearance too.
4. ENTOURAGE
The HBO series is all about the celebrity guest appearance. Michael Phelps made a, um, splash when it was announced he had a brief cameo this season.
5. MY NAME IS EARL
Former “Beverly Hills, 90210” heartthrob Jason Priestley popped up on an episode of the NBC comedy this month.
6. LAW & ORDER: SVU
Jesse McCartney showed up last week on the crime drama, and rapper Big Boi was a hit this week.
7. ER
The Chicago-based medical drama is pulling out all the stops with its guest stars this season. Former cast member Anthony Edwards has already shown up, and Noah Wyle is due on an upcoming episode.
8. KATH & KIM
Pamela Anderson reportedly will play herself in an upcoming scene with celebrity gossip-obsessed characters Kath (Molly Shannon) and Kim (Selma Blair).
9. Worst Week
Comic actor Fred Willard appeared on the awkward CBS comedy on Monday, and he is set to show up on an episode of ABC’s “Pushing Daisies” on Wednesday.
10. BROTHERS & SISTERS
Dave Foley appeared on the dysfunction-filled family drama Sunday, and he will appear Friday on Sci Fi’s “Stargate Atlantis.” Super cool.
11. Criminal Minds
A barely recognizable Jason Alexander is due on CBS’ “Criminal Minds” on Wednesday.
DON’T FORGET DIDDY!
