A 40-year-old man was charged with criminal damage to property after he plowed his Hummer through a parking gate at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
John Eager of the 9200 block of 87th Court in Hickory Hills was arrested shortly after 7 p.m. Nov. 14 when a security guard saw his Hummer stopped at the main entrance and detained him until police arrived.
Eager told the arresting officer that he crashed through the gate because he did not see an attendant on duty and he did not have a credit card with him to pay for the parking fee, police said.
