Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It is weekends like these, folks, when the TV becomes your best friend — minus the back talk.

All the sports teams are out of town, it’s cold outside and your Internet line has been chewed apart by your irritating animated archrival, Whizkers … oh, that just applies to me. Anyway, my point remains.

Snuggle up with a blanket and a hot chocolate (or toddy) and take in some sports. Just don’t expect the Chicago brand to be all that pretty. Here now, my TV picks.

NBA

Bulls at Golden State

9:30 p.m. WGN

Here we go again. Bulls are 0-2 so far on the circus trip.

NBA

New Orleans at Oklahoma City

8:30 p.m. ESPN

Judging by the city names, you’d expect this to be an ABA game, but no.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Fresno St. at San Jose St.

8:30 p.m. ESPN2

I can’t imagine what college football is like in San Jose. Is it like “The Hills” but with even more tackling?
