The Blackhawks completed their annual November trip with a 5-2 defeat to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. Here’s a recap:
3-2-1: Record on the trip. After starting with victories in Phoenix, Dallas and Toronto, the Hawks lost in San Jose in overtime, Anaheim and Los Angeles. The Hawks accumulated seven of a possible 12 points on the trip.
17: Goals. Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp each scored four times during the six games. Kris Versteeg, Jonathan Toews and Ben Eager each had two goals.
5-20: On the power play. The Hawks scored five times in 20 chances on the trip, highlighted by two goals with the man advantage against Dallas.
5-19: On penalty killing. Opponents scored goals on Hawks’ penalty killers in five different games.
7: Most points. Kane added three assists for seven points in the six games.
3: Injuries. Goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin, defenseman Aaron Johnson and forward Adam Burish were injured during the trip. Khabibulin is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, Johnson is on the long-term injured list (upper body) and Burish is sidelined and wearing a walking boot.
