The Bears needed the Vikings to lose. Instead, ex-Bears receiver Bernard Berrian has a huge day to lead Minnesota over NFC West champ Arizona.
Skinned
Washington could have stayed in the playoff hunt with a win at Cincinnati. Instead, the Redskins become only the second team to lose to the Bengals.
Lowly Lions
The Lions, NFC North doormats, fall to 0-14 as their march to history continues. The fact that it’s Detroit just caps it off.
Green Bay blues
The Bears’ hated rivals, the Packers, are knocked out of playoff consideration by Jacksonville. It’s not always sunny in Florida, apparently.

Former Packers QB Brett Favre (left) and his New York Jets stayed in a first-place tie in the AFC East. Sure, it doesn’t affect the Bears directly, but you know if he faces Chicago in the playoffs, Favre will have a feast.
