Police in Antioch are looking for a man driving a white work van who approached a 9-year-old boy while he was waiting alone Tuesday morning for a school bus.
The driver of the van — which had ladders on the roof and a black stripe down the side — stopped his vehicle near the student, who was at his bus stop at Illinois Highway 83 and Buena Terrace about 8 a.m, Antioch Police Cmdr. Jim Ruth said. The boy ran from the van and into some bushes to hide, Ruth said. The driver never left the van, Ruth said.
