Beloved Husband for 50 years of Joan, nee D’Amico; loving father of Linda (Mark) Rugen, John,Laura (David) Cushnie, James (Teresa) and Jeffrey (Christine); cherished grandfather of David, Elizabeth, Johnathon, Michael,Thomas, Matthew, Megan and Daniel.
Mr. Ploetz served as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy during the Korean War on the USS Boxer.
He was a retired VP of Unique Tool & Die. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m. at the N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd, Glenview (just South of Lake Ave on West side). Funeral from the funeral home Monday, 9:30 to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1775 Grove St., Glenview for mass 10am. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum.
