We hope this finds you well! The (LAST NAME) __________ Family had an amazing 2008! Where do we start? Well, (SPOUSE) _______ and I spent some time volunteering for the (LONGSHOT PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE) ________________________________ campaign. I know, I know, but the (CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC) ____________________ issue just had us so fired up.
Our oldest, (OLDER CHILD’S NAME) __________________ , tried out for school orchestra and made (UPPER SINGLE DIGIT) ________________th chair bassoon! (OLDER CHILD)___________ even had a solo during the school concert! You’ve never heard Theme from (ADAM SANDLER MOVIE) ___________________ played so beautifully.
And speaking of getting bitten by the artistic bug, (YOUNGER CHILD) ______________ joined the drama club and auditioned for the (YOUR MAYOR’S FULL NAME) ______________________ Elementary’s production of Rent. So adorable!
Then there was our poor dog (BRAND OF PASTA SAUCE) ____________________, who made an emergency trip to the vet when she accidentally swallowed a can of (BRAND OF PASTA SAUCE) ____________________. I mean, what are the odds?
In July, our family took our long-awaited road trip to (SMALL MIDWEST TOWN) ___________________. It was delightful! We visited the National (HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE) _____________________ Museum, which was riveting. Betcha didn’t know the (SAME HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE)_________________________ was invented by (NATIONALITY) ___________ explorers during the (PRECIOUS METAL) ______________ rush!
Oh, and if you visit, you absolutely must try Cucina (VAGUELY ITALIAN NAME) ____________________ on Main Street. Their Eggplant (ANOTHER VAGUELY ITALIAN NAME) ____________________________ is simply to die for! Unfortunately, (SPOUSE) _______ got an awful case of (ILLNESS) _______ and we had to come home three days early.
