Brigid Hanley, a 5-7 freshman, finished with 20 points, eight steals, five assists and two blocks as Plainfield Central (2-12) took fifth place in the consolation bracket. Hanley was named to the all-tournament team. Teammate Hannah Griffin, a 6-2 senior, scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Kaneland (3-8) was outscored 14-5 in the fourth quarter but held on for the victory. Katie Hatch, who finished with a team-high 11 points, hit two free throws with 10 seconds to play for the victory.

Lake Park improved to 10-2 behind Samantha Arnold (21 points), Devin Johnson (15) and Sarah Drozdowski (10). Trinity (12-3) lost its second straight game despite 25 points from Monica Albano, who made four three-pointers).

Abby Kirchoff scored a game-high 22 points and teammates Jen Schnack and Stacy Mass added 13 each for Barrington. Melissa O’Brien scored 15 points for Stevenson.

Mallory Sosnovich and Whitney Holloway each scored 12 points to lead Montini, which won the Blue Pool with a 3-0 record. Olivia Allen had 11 points for Lake Zurich, which finished pool play 2-1.

Megan LeBaron scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Grayslake (6-5). Alison Mtezger added 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Kate Putkonen finished with 10 points and five rebounds for the winners. Wisconsin-Green Bay recruit Breannah Rangers scored a game-high 24 points for Niles North (6-10), while teammate Alissa Hirshhad 10 points and four assists.

No. 3 Wheeling 63, Carmel 32
Janelle Cannon poured in 27 points and had seven steals as Wheeling cruised. The Wildcats (15-0) made seven of their 11 three-point field goals. Ashley Wilson, who had a 33 points and 24 rebounds Monday, finished with seven points, 11 rebounds, six assists and three steals. Bianca Szafarowiz added 12 points, three rebounds and four steals and Stephan Kuzmanic had 10 points and five rebounds for the Wildcats. Tiffany Hendrickson led Carmel (8-5) with 10 points.

Eleven Blue Devils scored, led by Joree Green’s 10 points. Warren is 6-7, while Palatine dropped to 2-11.
