We’re not afraid to put RedEye’s Twitter followers through a tough workout.
They always come through. We asked: Do you have a workout buddy? Why or why not? Here are some replies. Want to get fit with RedEye? Go to twitter.com/redeyechicago.
@brittneymoore Working out with someone else always helps me. He keeps me motivated and inspired to reach my own goals, and I can do the same for him.
@sapphire(underscore)05 I call her Richard Simmons & she motivates me 2reach my workout goals … even when I am cursing her lol
@ariswadkar I have a workout buddy I’ve been running w/ since Feb. Helps stay focused/motivated.
@circlegetsquare I work out alone. It’s good to get some quiet “me” time in to align my Zen Chakras and whatnot. Plus it’s more dangerous.
@CottonStar8 i prefer not 2 have a wkout bud, or a trainr. Self-motivatd and 2 busy of a sched
@cfritchle I used to have a workout buddy but then our schedules clashed. But now i’m in and out of the gym in an hour not 2.
@discontinuity I had a workout buddy for a long time until she got too lazy and complained. After i put off a few pounds I felt more confident to go alone
@elizabeth(underscore)ann when i work out (which is rare) i have a buddy because then we push each other… no quitters! alone … workout lasts 5 min.
@imstephen Nope. But if I did, I would probably work out more.
@jamesamolnar I have a workout buddy to keep me distracted from the task at hand: working out! Who would ever work out without one?!
@dparm My roommate is my workout partner. I go more regularly as a result, and we get a discount on the membership. It’s win-win.
@netizenbane Nope! I prefer to work at my own pace and in my own world of headphone bliss!
@jsortino I have a workout buddy. Only time 2 w/o is 5:30AM. Wouldn’t get up that early without the pressure of a buddy.
@amyjfisher does the remote count as a work out buddy 😉
@neosoul I don’t have a workout buddy because I like the solace and listening to music during working out. No competing either!
@espio no, mostly because none of my friends work out where I do
