Bite leads to suspension
Ottawa Senators forward Jarkko Ruutu has been suspended by the NHL for two games without pay for biting Buffalo Sabres enforcer Andrew Peters. Ruutu bit down on Peters’ glove during an altercation Tuesday, forcing his glove off and breaking the skin on his right thumb.

Bush has knee surgery
The New Orleans Saints have confirmed that running back Reggie Bush had surgery on his left knee and will require months of rehabilitation. Bush is expected to be ready for minicamp in June. He was placed on injured reserve after the latest injury in the Dec. 11 game against the Bears.
