In case you haven’t heard, Michael Jackson is living in Bel Air.
That’s right: The King of Pop is bunking in the neighborhood made famous by the Fresh Prince. Talk about a dynasty!
Jackson has signed a yearlong lease on a mansion in the swanky area of L.A., a spokesman for The Gloved One told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
He has been staying in the estate for about a month, said spokesman Tohme Tohme, who called the property “a little bit more than an average home.”
The lease agreement is for $100,000 a month for the home, which has seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and 12 fireplaces.
In honor of Jackson’s new digs, RedEye wrote a welcome song to the tune of the theme from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” Will Smith’s sitcom from back in the day. Enjoy!
Now, this is a story all about how
My life has dipped, gone way way down
And I’d like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I’ll tell you how the King of Pop moved out to Bel Air
In an alternate universe, born and raised
At Neverland is where I spent most of my days
Moonwalkin’ out and dancin’ all cool
And all getting plastic surgery and not wearing shoes
When a couple of media who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one protracted legal battle and my monkey got scared
He said “Eeep eep eeepa eep eep eeepa Bel Air!”
I whistled for a spaceship and when it came near
The aliens said they missed me and my glove’s on the mirror!
If anything this shuttle was rare
I said yo whatever and flew straight to Bel Air
I pulled up to the house about a quarter to five
And I yelled to the paparazzi, “Yo, what up, guys?”
I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there
In my kooky new pad in the heart of Bel Air.
