You know the old saying, “You can’t win them all.” Well, that applies to me too. I know that probably surprises longtime readers who marvel at my prognosticating prowess, but it’s true. I’ll prove it. Here’s how accurate I was in predicting this weekend’s NFL playoffs.
N.Y. Giants vs. Philadelphia
What happened: Philadelphia 23, N.Y. Giants 11
What Whizzer said: Philadelphia 27, N.Y. Giants 26
Accuracy: I went out on a limb with Philly, but they proved my gut was right.
Carolina vs. Arizona
What happened: Arizona 33, Carolina 13
What Whizzer said: Carolina 33, Arizona 19
Accuracy: I almost nailed the score, albeit with the wrong winner.
Tennessee vs. Baltimore
What happened: Baltimore 13, Tennessee 10
What Whizzer said: Baltimore 29, Tennessee 20
Accuracy: Winner? Check. Score? Fail. See, you can’t win them all.
Pittsburgh vs. San Diego
What happened: Pittsburgh 35, San Diego 24
What Whizzer said: Pittsburgh 20, San Diego 17
Accuracy: This was the most predictable game of the weekend. Although the Steelers putting up so many points is somewhat surprising.
