Woody Allen’s romance picked up a best musical/comedy Golden Globe on Sunday, just in time for the DVD release of the film in which Scarlett Johansson and Rebecca Hall play Americans vacationing in Spain who get caught up in a love quadrangle with a painter (Javier Bardem) and his ex-wife (Penelope Cruz). “Valkyrie” peek
apple.com/trailers/mgm/valkyrie
Apple.com is offering an exclusive video peek at the first 6 minutes of Tom Cruise’s film, “Valkyrie,” which I recommend. Cruise may be playing a Nazi, but he’s in full heroic Tom mode. It’s a nail-biter, even if you do know the outcome. Curt Wagner, RedEye
MUSIC
“Notorious” soundtrack Various artists
The late Notorious B.I.G.’s clever, detailed rhymes are all on display on the “Notorious” biopic soundtrack, built around some Biggie Smalls hip-hop classics — “Hypnotize,” “Juicy” and “Warning” — and the impressive demos “Microphone Murderer” and “Guaranteed Raw.” Supporting Biggie’s songs are new tracks from Jay-Z, Jadakiss and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. A poignant moment comes courtesy of Biggie’s son, CJ Wallace, rhyming in unison with his father on the remix of “One More Chance.” Glenn Gamboa, Newsday
FASHION
RedEye’s pick for the top fashionista at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards is January Jones (right) of “Mad Men,” shown here in her electric-blue one-shoulder gown by Versace.
