One character calls it “Grissom’s last big game.” Yes, the “Dick and Jane” killer case — the last major investigation led by Gil Grissom (William Petersen) — kicks into high gear in this episode, with Grissom’s team closing in on the imprisoned killer’s murderous accomplice. Crime expert Dr. Raymond Langston (Laurence Fishburne) is brought in as a consultant on the case, and he proves to be a feisty presence. Hope Grissom’s team is OK with that — Langston will be joining their ranks permanently soon. Petersen is departing the show after this episode and Fishburne is joining the long-running crime-investigation franchise.
