Is there a better excuse than frigid windchills and the threat of frostbite to weasel out of any task that requires leaving the house and missing one of the final weeks of the NFL?
Your significant other wants you to watch — and pay attention during — “Bride Wars” or “Yes Man.” Excuse: “I doubt the car will start in these temperatures. Let’s watch the Eagles-Cardinals game instead.”
Your kids want you to build the world’s largest snowman. Excuse: “You’ll lose a finger if you stay out here longer than 15 minutes. It’s a medical fact. Let’s go inside. The Steelers and Ravens are about to kick off.”
Take advantage while you can. It’s the only positive part of these negative temperatures.
