‘Johnny Dangerously’

7 p.m., WPWR-Ch. 50

Michael Keaton gives one of the funniest performances of his career in this slapsticky spoof set in the 1930s. He plays a law-abiding citizen who resorts to crime to pay his mother’s medical bills. And we’re not just talking a little embezzlement or a couple of muggings; we’re talking about the mob. The 1984 comedy also includes hilarious supporting performances by Joe Piscopo, Marilu Henner and Maureen Stapleton.

‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’

7 p.m., HBO

Home isn’t where the heart is, at least not initially, for the title character played by Martin Lawrence in this comedy. Having staked his claim to fame in Hollywood, he returns to his family in Georgia to help mark his parents’ (James Earl Jones, left, Margaret Avery) 50th wedding anniversary. His past quickly resurfaces to haunt him, thanks to relatives and others. Co-stars include Cedric the Entertainer, Mo’Nique and Michael Clarke Duncan.

‘The Da Vinci Code’

7 p.m., TNT

A murder in the Louvre Museum and clues in paintings by Leonardo you-know-who lead to the discovery of a religious mystery. And that mystery is a biggie; if you have to ask what it is, you’ve been living under a rock and should take a trip to a bookstore. Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Jean Reno, Paul Bettany, Alfred Molina and Ian McKellen star.

‘Van Helsing’

8 p.m., FX

The monster hunter from “Dracula” gets top billing in this 2004 horror thriller. Hugh Jackman plays the title character, who is sent to Transylvania to help siblings (Kate Beckinsale, Will Kemp) do battle with Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh) and his minions. Vampires aren’t the only villains in this story, however. It’s a monstrous who’s who that includes the Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s monster and Mr. Hyde. David Wenham co-stars.
