Is time running out for Jack Bauer?
Entertainment Weekly reports that with one year left on his contract, Kiefer Sutherland is starting to think about the end of “24.” Sutherland tells EW he’s undecided on whether next season will be his last.
“I don’t think about [the end of ’24’] a lot, but I did this year for the first time,” he says. “It was one of those weird moments where the stage was unusually quiet; it was like a ghost town. I was looking around [thinking] about all the work that went into building this thing and it hit me: This will end one day, and I’m going to be sad about it.”
We’d be pretty sad too. After all, who would protect America from all those L.A.-hating terrorists? Not that we’d want it to come to this, but this is how we see Jack Bauer’s last day on the job panning out.

What now, Jack?
We asked RedEye’s Twitter followers what Jack Bauer should do on his day off. Here are some of the responses. Want to be on this page next time? Sign up at twitter.com/redeyechicago.
@othy He goes on “The View” and claims he’s not a terrorist!
@gordondym Watches reruns of THE RAT PATROL.
@jeda(underscore)21 On his day off he tracks down Casio F-91W watch owners while enjoying a latte.
@vaughnchicago I’m guessing Jack tries to get some sleep, grab a bite to eat, and use the bathroom. All those things he NEVER does on “24.”
