The search for a possible missing kayaker on the Cal-Sag Channel was called off this morning when the “kayak” proved to be a piece of debris.
Prompted by a 911 call, authorities launched a search operation by boat and helicopter for a possible missing kayaker when what was reported as a kayak on a channel bank near Palos Park turned out to quite something else.
