A man who barricaded himself inside a Northwest Side residence Friday was found dead of a gunshot wound, police said.
A spokeswoman for the Wheat Ridge, Colo., police department said investigators “have reason to believe” that the man was Tyler James Martin, 36, a man charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend Tuesday night and was on the run from authorities.
Chicago police, however, have not confirmed that it is Martin, she said.
