“The Sarah Silverman Program” is back for a third season — and Silverman can thank the gays for that.

Silverman’s Comedy Central show was saved from the brink of cancellation after sister network Logo — a gay-oriented cable network — helped foot the bill to land a 10-episode deal, Reuters reports. The show’s producers and Comedy Central had been in a deadlock over plans to slash the show’s budget, according to Reuters.

The third season is expected to premiere in early 2010.
