Sentencing is scheduled for April 29 for an Addison woman convicted of causing a crash that injured a truck driver last year and shut down Interstate Highway 290 near Elk Grove Village for five hours.
Raffaella Cascella, 49, of the 1200 block of West Lake Street was found guilty of aggravated reckless driving before Judge Thomas Fecarotta Jr. in the Rolling Meadows branch of Cook County Circuit Court.
Cascella pulled in front of a dump truck in the northbound lanes of I-290 near Biesterfield Road and slammed on the brakes, Assistant State’s Atty. Mike Gerber said. The truck driver swerved to avoid her car and rolled the truck.
