The book, “The Lost Symbol,” will be a thriller set during a 12-hour period and will feature “Da Vinci Code” protagonist Robert Langdon; its first printing will be 5 million copies. … Jazz musician Chuck Mangione’s May 1 performance in Buffalo with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will be followed by a party to raise money to help those affected by a February plane crash in Clarence, N.Y. Two members of Mangione’s band were among the 49 passengers who died in the crash of Continental Connection Flight 3407.
