Taft improved to 21-3 with a complete game from Chris Rivera. Rivera struck out nine, allowing five hits. Mike Shewchuk went 2-for-3 with 3RBI and Myles Klein went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Young (21-3) batted around twice in the third inning. Matthew Otero hit a grand slam and drove in seven runs.

Cam Verbeke struck out 16 in a five-hitter and Mike Loni and JOe Musso were each 2-for-3 for Fenwick (19-10).
Fremd 7, No. 4 New Trier 5
Zenon Kolakowski hit the game-winning two?run home run in the sixth inning as host Fremd (19-9) pulled off the upset. New Trier fell to 25-5 after the non-conference loss.

Loyola won on a walk-off home run from Andrew Touhy who went 4-for-4 with two long balls in the game. Jack Havey threw four innings to pick up the win, striking out nine. Paul Sciortino went 3-for-3 with a three-run home run.

Josh Camalick had his ninth home run of the season, a three-run shot, and Alex Tafano hit a two-run home run for Central (16-12).

Josh Hudnut gave up no earned runs and struck out five in a complete game effort to pick up the win for Lyons Township (16-14).

Josh Hine pitched three and two-thirds innings to pick up the win for the Oak Forest. Tim Barry went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double. Parker Carroll was 2-for-4 with a solo home run.

Ben Gordon picked up the win for Plainfield North (26-5) pitching three innings, striking out two. Mike Klett went 3-4 with a home run.
