MTV pointed this out when the network interviewed Taylor Momsen this week, but it bears repeating: The kids of “Gossip Girl” are all about the music.
Like, seriously.
Leighton Meester (Blair) leaked that poppy song “Birthday” last month, and Chace Crawford (Nate) is set to star in “Footloose,” replacing Zac Efron in the lead role. Then you have Ed Westwick (Chuck), whose band The Filthy Youth has been around since at least 2006. Topping it off, Momsen (Jenny) has a band called the Pretty Reckless that recently was signed to music industry powerhouse Interscope, according to MTV.
