The Coalers were led by Taylor Olson at the plate with three hits followed by Kevin Gabehart, Ryan Collier, and Anthony Hakey each getting two hits. Cort Scheel and Kyle Adermann each had two hits for Wilmington.

Kuris Duggan tied the single season IHSA saves record with his ninth of the season. Duggan pitched one inning striking out one. Nick Norris was 2-for-3 with a homer run and Greg Souza was 2-for-4 for Homewood Flossmoor (20-7).

Zach Liebman (9-1) pitched a complete game for the Huntley (28-6-1) win.

Winning pitcher Phillip Byrd struck out eight and hit a home run for Leo. Danny Guzman was 2-for-5 with two triples and five RBIs, and Clinton Parker was 2-for-4 with four RBIs.

Libertyville (20-11) recieved two hits from Tyler Schweigert, Cahd Buhler, AJ Schurr and Brad Martin. Brooks McDowel was the winning pitcher.

Jake Prieto threw a two-hitter for Lincoln-Way East (23-6).

Alex Eaton contributed on the mound and at the plate. Eaton pitched a complete game giving up two runs, and went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Zach Reid went 2-for-3.

Brian Lehmann pitched six and two-thirds innings striking out eight and giving up no earned runs for Lyons (17-14).

Maine South 11, St. Ignatius 6
Ron Muck picked up the win for Maine South (15-14-1) going five innings, striking out nine. Eric Mueller went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, a stolen base and a run. Mike McGrath was 2-for-3 with a double two stolen bases and two runs.

Mt. Carmel 10, New Trier 2
Mt. Carmel improves to 22-13 with Kevin Johnson’s (7-2) seven inning, 11 strikeout performance. Jordan Lynch was 2-for-3 with a single, double and a run scored.

Brittany Garnder pitched a three-hitter and No. 8 Sandburg (24-9) scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth to break a scoreless tie. Garnder, a junior left-hander committed to Loyola, struck out eight and walked none in improving to 17-7. Olivia Roback doubled in the top of the fourth for Elk Grove (29-3) but was thrown out at the plate by center fielder Morgan Biel on a single by Nikki Goranson.

Leah Challenger doubled to lead off the bottom of the seventh and pinch-runner Ryann Nicosia scored on Kirsten Luevano’s safety squeeze as Lemont prevailed after overcoming a four-run deficit and blowing a three-run lead. Melissa Rudolph drove in four runs for Lemont (18-10), including a three-run double that broke a 4-4 tie in the sixth. Dege Abate had an RBI double and scored on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh as Downers Grove North (22-9) tied it at 7-7. Relief pitcher Becka Anderson retired three straight batters with a runner on second in the top of the seventh to earn the victory.
Naperville Central 1, Belleville East 0: Sophomore Alyssa Wunderlich pitched a two-hitter and Meghan Griffin drove home Erin Graham with a sacrifice fly in the fourth for Naperville Central (26-6). Wunderlich struck out 12 and walked one.

Brittany Chapman pitched a three-hitter and Karly Brown rapped an RBI double in the fifth to give Belleville (21-10) a 3-1 lead. Chapman (14-9), who pitched all 14 innings on Belleville’s two games here, struck out 11 and walked three in the victory. Katie Houlihan singled and doubled for Lincoln-Way North (13-18).
Riverside-Brookfield 6, Regina 0: Lindsay Hayes pitched a no-hitter and went 3-for-4 with a solo home run for Riverside (25-7). Hayes, a senior, struck out seven and walked one in improving to 9-2. Regina is 14-20.
