*Day With Dad, sponsored by Metropolitan Family Services, will go to the White Sox-Cleveland Indians game at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago. *A charity golf outing to benefit Clearbrook’s PAL, or Partners in Adult Learning, program for young adults with developmental disabilities and physical challenges will begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Old Orchard Country Club, 700 W. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect. The 18-hole scramble format includes beer and cigar holes, live and silent auctions, and a helicopter ball drop for the grand prize of $1,000. Tickets cost $195 and include, lunch, dinner and open bar. Tickets for the helicopter ball drop are $20 or three for $50. Winner need not be present. *Cooperstown Comedy Night, a fundraiser to send the Skokie Indians 12-year-old travel team to Cooperstown, N.Y., to play at the Field of Dreams Park, will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Wilmette Theater, 1122 Central Ave. Tickets cost $25 and include a raffle of a Jay Cutler Bears jersey and game tickets, and a live auction. *Taggers are needed for the Salvation Army of McHenry County’s Donut Days Friday and Saturday at stores and businesses in McHenry County. Taggers will collect donations and hand out coupons for six doughnuts free with purchase of a dozen at designated area doughnut shops. To volunteer, call 815-455-2769, ext. 16.
*Volunteers age 8 to adult are needed to plant prairie wildflowers and repair a short section of trail from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday near Canterbury Park, Butterfield and Golf Roads, south of Illinois Highway 176 in Libertyville.
