HAIR PRODUCT

Fekkai Marine Summer Hair Beach Waves

$23 for 5-ounce bottle at Sephora

Get those waves that make your hair look like you spent a day at the beach by spraying Beach Waves on damp hair and scrunching while you blow-dry. Its UV protection keeps colored hair from fading. The spray smell has a hint of coconut. LEONOR VIVANCO, REDEYE

GADGET

Hercules XPS 2.150 speakers

$69.99 at amazon.com

This relatively small speaker set might not live up to its mythological name, but for under $70, it packs quite a punch. It’s difficult to find quality-sounding stereo speakers for this price and even rarer to find cheap sets that come with a subwoofer. The sound quality won’t blow you away, but if you’re not expecting a, well, Herculean sound system, the XPS 2.150 delivers. RYAN SMITH FOR REDEYE

DVD

‘Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog’

$14.99 list price ($10.49 at amazon.com)

So why bother buying a DVD of a 43-minute musical comedy superhero spoof that you can watch for free online? Well, it’s awesome. And the extras, which play like a whole new sing-along blog. Creator Joss Whedon, of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” fame, provides a straightforward commentary. In “Commentary! The Musical,” all his pals, including “Dr. Horrible” actors Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day, sing a new set of Whedon songs as if they were jaded stars (watch for “It’s All About Me”). There’s also a funny making-of doc. CURT WAGNER, REDEYE
