*An item in the People feature of Sunday’s Business section incorrectly described a promotion at law firm Much Shelist. Greg Simon, not Joseph Martin, was promoted to equity principal and is chairman of the wealth transfer and succession planning practice group.
* A story and photo caption in Sunday’s Chicagoland section about Joliet officials uncovering the remains of a 2-year-old baby girl who died in 1852 incorrectly identified distant family living today in Iowa as descendants of the young girl. They are descendants of the girl’s family.
*The last name of parent Gail Thomason was incorrectly spelled in an article Friday about new grading systems in elementary schools.
