It’s hard to imagine how any old spud could beat one dug up straight from the farmer’s field, once it’s rinsed and ready to pop in the oven or even the microwave. But, apparently, folks aim to do just that. We wondered just how the Russets stack up in their various oven-ready forms. Here are the prices we found at one north suburban supermarket (cents per ounce).
