Here’s what’s happening on those fronts, based on data supplied to RedEye by the Metro Chicago Information Center, a local organization that compiles U.S. Census information.
Unemployment
Approximately 6.3 percent of Chicago males, age 25 to 44, were unemployed, compared with 5.3 percent of women in that age group.
