One of TV’s most underrated comedies gets the DVD treatment weeks after ending its run. The sharp comedy pits slacker Sam (Bret Harrison) against the devil himself, played with dry brilliance by Ray Wise. This disc includes 13 episodes, plus deleted scenes, great bloopers and a making-of feature. There were rumors the show would become syndicated but sadly it never happened. Here’s a good collection to save the memories.

‘Her Diamonds’

Rob Thomas taps into America’s “I can’t take no more” vibe on his new single, which suits him well and should build enthusiasm for the upcoming “Cradlesong” album. Though “Diamonds” is up-tempo, it’s not uncomfortable like “Lonely No More,” the lead-off track from his previous solo album. This has less Justin Timberlake-ish pop and far more soul, especially during the gospel-tinged call-and-response rave-up that drives the point home.
