*CYCLING: Pierre Bordry, president of anti-doping agency AFLD, said his drug testers will treat seven-time champion Lance Armstrong like any other rider when the Tour de France begins Saturday. “He is probably a great sportsman, and from that point of view he is not a rider like any other,” Bordry told the Associated Press. “But he should be treated like the others when it comes to the fight against doping.”

*TENNIS: Three-time Grand Slam champion Lindsay Davenport gave birth to her second child, a girl named Lauren Andrus Davenport Leach. She and husband Jon Leach have a 2-year-old son, Jagger. Davenport, 33, pulled out of the Australian Open when she learned she was pregnant and said she would be putting tennis on hold “for the foreseeable future.”

*NFL: Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson told the Associated Press he would prefer waiting “two or three years” before having his team play more than one annual regular-season game in Toronto. The Bills are locked into five regular-season and three preseason games in Toronto under a contract that runs through 2012.

*COLLEGES: North Carolina State linebacker Nate Irving has been charged with careless and reckless driving after a one-vehicle wreck that broke a leg and collapsed a lung. Police said Irving’s vehicle ran off the road twice before striking two trees at about 4:40a.m. Sunday. … Former Oregon quarterback Justin Roper, who started last season until he injured a knee in Week 3, will transfer to Montana. … The NCAA women’s gymnastics committee is recommending changes to the national championship format. It wants four teams in the finals instead of six, with byes eliminated and the competition shortened to make the event more appealing to fans and television.
