Now selling on Amazon.com, Rod Blagojevich’s book is guaranteed to open a new chapter of wisecracks at the ousted governor’s expense.

Customers already have added more than 70 “tags” — key words to help others searching for the 352-page hardcover — including “delusional,” “governor goofy” and “hairbrush.”

“The Governor: The Truth Behind the Political Scandal That Continues to Rock the Nation” is billed as “the most comprehensive look to date at the life of a twice-elected public official in the notoriously complicated world of Illinois politics.”

Blagojevich showed a fondness for quoting famous authors, often from memory. His book promises plenty of other bon mots lifted from the likes of Aeschylus, Shakespeare and “The Purpose Driven Life.”

Phoenix Books, the Beverly Hills, Calif.-based independent publisher, offered Blagojevich a six-figure deal — the largest in the company’s history.

A nationwide publicity tour is planned to promote the book on radio, TV and other outlets, with early interest from the “Today” show, said Dan Smetanka, Phoenix Books’ managing editor.

Blagojevich had a “very strong and clear perspective” and wrote every word himself, Smetanka said, adding: “It’s a much more engaging and comprehensive book than what people may have realized.”

The official publication date is Sept. 8. The book lists for $24.95, but Amazon customers can get a copy now for $16.47.

Gift-wrapping is available.
