*A story and photo caption in Tuesday’s Chicagoland section misidentified Nancy Striblen. She is the former sister-in-law of Dorothy Striblen, who was slain in a 2004 murder-suicide.

*A story on the front page of Wednesday’s Live section incorrectly spelled “geoduck.”

*A reference in the Aug. 5 Sports section to Colorado’s win streak was incorrectly stated. When the Rockies beat the Phillies, it was Colorado’s fifth straight win.

The Tribune regrets the errors.

*A headline on Page 1 on Wednesday referred to Eunice Kennedy Shriver as the Special Olympics co-founder. However, the organization lists her as the group’s founder. Chicagoan Anne Burke also played a role in the founding of the Special Olympics, the first of which were held in Chicago.
