A Woodridge pilot whose plane clipped a house and crashed into a residential yard in November was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 2 years of probation after he pleaded guilty Wednesday to operating his aircraft under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
In January, a DuPage County grand jury indicted Sean Oskvarek, 45, on seven counts based on allegations that he had alcohol and drugs — including marijuana, cocaine, benzodiazepines and opiates — in his system when the single-engine plane he was flying Nov. 11 crashed as he was approaching a private airstrip near Downers Grove.
Oskvarek suffered minor injuries. No one on the ground was injured.
