We now interrupt the Brett Favre coverage to resume our day-to-day look at Jay Cutler’s first training camp with the Bears.

On the run: Facing probably the most intense defensive pressure of camp thus far, Cutler struggled Tuesday. During his second-to-last series, he went 0 of 3, including passes nearly picked off by safeties Kevin Payne and Al Afalava.

Pick and run: After one of Cutler’s passes tipped off the hands of Greg Olsen, it landed in the arms of injured cornerback Charles Tillman on the sideline. Tillman corralled the ball and pretended to take off.

Tip drill: Cutler had a number of his passes deflected, including one by Lance Briggs, who also intercepted a bobbled ball by Desmond Clark. Coordinator Ron Turner wasn’t discouraged, pointing out that players aren’t doing their usual blocking schemes.
