A 29-year-old Alsip man was charged with vagrancy last week after he approached cars and asking the occupants for money in the 9900 block of Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn, police said.
The man was arrested at 8 p.m. on Aug. 11 after police received several complaints from motorists who were bothered by him walking in the center of the street panhandling, police said. According to the police report, the man has been warned by officers 15 times in the last 30 days to stop panhandling.
